Serving on a board can be an exciting experience but it is also demanding. Below are the self-assessment questions that you can answer before making a decision to join as Volunteer Board member with Krish Hope Service.

Do you have passion to support the differently abled community members?
How much time are you willing to put into the board?
Sitting at the board meeting is not the only requirement to become a board member. Board members have the responsibility to drive the organization mission and vision, they need to review organization financial statement, meeting materials and support committee meetings.
Each board member has their own unique strength which can help organization to provide valuable guidance for many activities that support the organizations growth. Examples of such activities are fund raising events, navigating grant opportunities, planning community events and seminar, community outreach, networking and supporting community
Do you have these strengths?
Then you are a right candidate.
Do you like to collaborate, or you like to work alone?
Boards are teams of committed and engaged individual who works together to achieve the mission and vision of the organization. If you prefer to work alone consider direct service volunteering as an alternative to board service.
Do you have the ability or willingness to assist fundraising for not for profit organization?
Financial strength of not for profit is critical to carry out its mission. Board member have the primary responsibilities to ensure an organization has adequate financial resources. Krish Hope Service board member have the responsibility to support fundraising activity throughout the year. This can be achieved by signing more members, participating in fundraising events, connections and introduction to donors and direct solicitations are just a few of the ways in which board members can make a difference in terms of fundraising success.
